Micronova has attracted Aalto University's units from the faculties of Electrical and Communications Engineering, Engineering Physics and Mathematics and Chemical Engineering, as well as the Low Temperature Laboratory and Helsinki Institute of Physics. In all, we have 8 different research groups with nearly 100 personnel, including 8 professors and 60 graduate students.
Aalto University Nanofabrication Centre (former TKK Micronova, former Micro and nanofabrication Centre, MINFAB) runs, maintains and develops Aalto University's cleanroom facilities and processing equipment. Aalto Nanofab has 5 technical staff to take care of equipment maintenance, cleanroom training, safety, chemicals and gases, installations and much more.
